A Romantic Roundhouse Wedding in Beacon, NY | Lindsay + Jordan’s Autumn Celebration
A Roundhouse wedding in Beacon, NY always feels like something between modern industrial design and Hudson Valley romance, but Lindsay and Jordan’s celebration felt especially warm, glowing, and deeply intentional. Their day unfolded in soft layers of autumn light, meaningful details, and quiet emotional moments that never felt forced - just fully lived.
Lindsay and Jordan are the kind of couple who make things feel easy. They described their relationship from the very beginning as “easy” - a connection that clicked almost immediately after meeting on Hinge and never stopped growing. They are the kind of people you feel like you can instantly be yourself around, without judgement. I adore them as a couple and as individuals. Separately they are both kind, fun, compassionate, and strong - together they are unstoppable. There’s a calmness and humor between them, a sense of choosing each other without hesitation, and building a life that feels grounded in joy, music, and shared rituals (and a lot of love for their cats). That same energy carried through every part of their wedding day at The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY.

From the very beginning, their Roundhouse wedding in Beacon, NY felt rooted in connection. Not only between the two of them, but with every person who gathered to witness their story unfold inside one of the Hudson Valley’s most iconic venues.
Getting ready: calm, shared, and full of meaning
One of my favorite things about Lindsay and Jordan’s day was how naturally they shared space throughout the morning. They got ready together, saw each other’s dresses beforehand, and chose their gowns on the first try.
“Both were elegant, classic choices that complimented each other well, but were unique to our own individual style and personality.”
There was something grounding about how un-rushed everything felt. Shoes chosen for comfort. Hair done by a family friend. Makeup artists chosen from The Roundhouse vendor list based on their portfolios and reviews.
Everything felt thoughtful, but never stressful.
How it all began: “It was easy.”
Lindsay and Jordan met on Hinge, but what happened next felt anything but typical.
“We had our first date 2 days later after messaging very briefly,” they told me. “We both were going into the date with very little expectations, sort of tired of the dating scene in NYC. To both our surprise, we hit it off immediately and never stopped seeing each other! It was easy.”
That word - easy - came up again and again in how they described their relationship. No forced timelines. No overthinking. Just two people who met and immediately recognized something real.
That ease carried straight into their engagement story too.
An unplanned, planned engagement
Their engagement story feels like something out of a film - ordinary New York City life suddenly turning into a moment they’d remember forever.
They had already designed their rings with a family friend jeweler, and one day, they realized they were waiting for an “official” engagement moment that didn’t actually match how they already felt.
Jordan remembers saying, “What if I just proposed to you right now then?”
From there, everything unfolded spontaneously: a walk home through Manhattan, a stop at Duane Reade for roses, a group of school girls cheering them on outside the store when Lindsay shouted, “We’re getting engaged!”
They ended up back in their tiny studio apartment and, “in between the dishwasher and the couch,” they proposed to each other.
“It was super sweet and intimate. An unplanned/planned engagement!”
That same energy - spontaneous but deeply intentional - was exactly what they brought into their Roundhouse wedding in Beacon, NY.
We had so much fun creating movement in front of the barns doors at The Roundhouse for their indoor wedding party photographs.
Lindsay + Jordan’s ketubah signing was fill with so much love and laughter. Their parents signed their ketubah, witnessed by their wedding party made up of their closest friends and family.
A Jewish ceremony at The Roundhouse
Their ceremony honored Jordan’s Jewish heritage and included meaningful traditions woven into the structure of the day - a ketubah signing, their ceremony under the chuppah, sharing wine, and breaking of the glass.
They walked down the aisle to “Annie’s Song” by John Denver, and the moment they kissed under the chuppah, “So High School” by Taylor Swift began playing.
“It was perfect.”
How they decided to have a mid-sized wedding
“Jordan’s family is on the smaller side but she has a lot of friends and Lindsay’s family is big. We wanted all our people there and for them to have a plus one and enjoy!”
A fall palette built around warmth and texture
Every detail of this day felt intentional, especially the color palette.
Their design leaned into deep, seasonal tones: dark reds, burnt orange, gold accents, champagne velvet linens, and black napkins and chairs.
“It was very much incorporating the fall and romantic theme,” they told me.
The reception: joy, music, and movement
If the ceremony felt intimate and cozy, and the reception felt like pure joy.
One of the most unforgettable moments was being lifted in chairs over the crowd during the hora - a tradition that immediately filled the room with laughter and energy.
They were announced as “Mrs. and Mrs. Roblyer” at the top of the staircase inside The Roundhouse while “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure played.
“It was magical!”
Their first dance to “From This Moment On” by Shania Twain brought a visible wave of emotion through the room. They had even practiced it together in their kitchen at home beforehand.
When they told me their first dance song over our planning zoom meeting, I told them directly “EVERYONE is going to cry”, I was right. haha
Later, Lindsay changed into a second outfit and re-entered the reception to “Opalite” by Taylor Swift, keeping the energy flowing late into the night.
The cats, the music, and the little details
One of the most personal touches of the day was their signature cocktail: “The Cat-and-caboodle” - a playful nod to their shared obsession with their cats.
They’re also a deeply musical couple, and every single song throughout the day was chosen intentionally.
As they shared with me:
“We’re a very musical household and we meticulously chose each song that played for each moment and part of the day.”
That attention to detail is what made their The Roundhouse wedding in Beacon, NY feel so layered - not just beautiful, but deeply personal.
Why The Roundhouse in Beacon, NY
They toured The Roundhouse on Valentine’s Day, just a week after getting engaged.
“It just felt like the perfect setting with everything included - ceremony, cocktail hour, hotel, restaurant, near Main Street attractions. Not to mention the gorgeous foliage for the Fall and the waterfall!”
If you’ve ever been to The Roundhouse in Beacon, you know exactly what they mean. The mix of exposed brick, clean modern architecture, and the waterfall just outside creates a setting that feels both grounded and cinematic. In the fall especially, it becomes something entirely its own - golden light, warm air, and the Fishkill Creek just beyond the property.
It was the perfect backdrop for their vision: warm, autumnal, glowy, romantic, and intimate.
Why this day felt so meaningful
Looking back at Lindsay and Jordan’s wedding, what stands out most isn’t just the setting or the details - it’s the ease between them.
The way they make decisions together.
The way they prioritize what actually matters.
Their advice for other couples planning a wedding says it best:
“Make choices quickly and concisely. Don’t vacillate too much on all the details…at the end of the day we just wanted to be married!”
That simplicity is what carried them through a 9-month engagement and into a wedding day that felt fully present, fully lived, and completely their own.
Were there any special family traditions or moments you incorporated into your wedding day?
“We had so much fun being lifted in chairs over the crowd at our reception! We both danced with each of our parents individually as well and that was super special.”
How did you find me as a wedding photographer? Why did you choose to work with me?
“You were on the vendor list and it was a very easy decision to email you once we saw your portfolio! You got back to us super quickly and we had an impromptu FaceTime that was so fun and really showed us your personality. It was a clear yes and we both felt like we were in great hands. On the day, you made us feel so special, comfortable, and understood.”It made me so happy to read this, I adore these two, and we were such a great fit. It was an honor to document their wedding day.

Final thoughts
There’s a reason a wedding at The Roundhouse is such a beloved Hudson Valley experience - it offers structure and beauty, but leaves room for couples to make it entirely their own. Lindsay and Jordan did exactly that.
Their day was warm, intentional, emotional, and full of movement and music in all the best ways.
