What matters isn’t the guest count - it’s the intention behind the day. Elopements tend to leave more room for presence, spontaneity, and creating a celebration around what actually feels meaningful to you rather than what a wedding is expected to look like.

Yes - and you don’t need to know what to do in front of the camera. Most of the couples I photograph aren’t models and don’t want to spend their day performing for photographs. I’ll offer direction when it’s helpful, particularly during portraits, and step back when something real is unfolding. My goal is for you to feel comfortable enough to be yourselves so the photographs feel like you, rather than a version of you created for the camera.

We adapt. Weather is part of the unpredictability of getting married in the Hudson Valley, especially when your plans involve being outdoors. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast with you and help adjust timing or locations when necessary, but a little rain rarely means the day - or the photographs - are ruined. Fog, clouds, wind, and rain can bring an entirely different atmosphere to a landscape, and sometimes those imperfect conditions become part of what makes the photographs so memorable.

Yes. I photograph elopements using a blend of digital photography and both black-and-white and color film. Film brings a softness, texture, and beautiful unpredictability that feels especially at home in intimate celebrations. I intentionally embrace the grain, movement, occasional light leaks, and other imperfections that make each frame feel singular, while digital photography allows me to document the full story of your day with the same care.
