Hudson Valley Family + Portrait Photography
Honest imagery for the seasons you never want to forget.
Family photographs are about so much more than smiling at the camera.
They’re about preserving connection. The way your child reaches for your hand. The laughter that erupts unexpectedly. The quiet tenderness of simply being together.
These seasons move quickly. Faster than we ever expect.
My approach to family photography blends gentle guidance with documentary observation - creating images that feel natural, emotional, and deeply personal. Rather than forcing perfection, I focus on preserving your family exactly as you are right now: connected, present, and real.
Whether we’re documenting a slow morning at home, an autumn evening in the Hudson Valley, or an adventurous afternoon outdoors, my goal is always the same:
To preserve not only how it looked - but how it felt.
These sessions take place within 30 minutes of Poughkeepsie, NY. Travel fees may apply to locations outside of that radius.
My Approach
I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when people feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves.
That means your session is never about rigid posing or perfection.
Children are allowed to move, explore, and exist naturally.
Parents are encouraged to slow down, breathe, and connect rather than perform for the camera.
I offer gentle direction when needed, while leaving space for honest moments to unfold naturally.
The result is a collection of photographs that feel timeless, emotional, and deeply human.

Ready to Preserve This Season of Life?
The days often feel long, but the years move quickly.
I take on a limited number of family sessions each season to ensure every experience feels thoughtful, relaxed, and deeply personal.
If my work resonates with you, I would love to hear more about your family and the memories you hope to preserve.
What to Wear Guide
Your clothing should complement the feeling of the session - not distract from it.
I always encourage families to prioritize comfort, movement, texture, and timelessness over anything overly trendy or perfectly matching.
The goal is for your photographs to feel effortless, emotional, and lasting years from now.
What Photographs Beautifully -
Soft neutral tones
Earthy colors
Texture (linen, knit, cotton, wool)
Flowing fabrics with movement
Layers for dimension
Barefoot whenever appropriate
Clothing that allows movement and comfort
What to Avoid -
Bright neon colors
Large logos or graphics
Overly matching outfits
Harsh patterns
Clothing that feels uncomfortable or restrictive
My Biggest Advice
Choose clothing that feels like you.
Children especially photograph best when they feel comfortable enough to move naturally, explore, and simply be themselves.
The most meaningful photographs always come from connection - not perfection.
