Summer Glenmere Mansion Wedding - Isabella + Chris

A Glenmere Mansion wedding in late August has a way of feeling suspended in time - warm light stretching across the land, gardens in full bloom, and that unmistakable Tuscan romance woven into every corner of the estate. Isabella and Christopher’s wedding day was exactly what they had envisioned: elegant, emotional, and deeply immersive. From their lakeview ceremony on the lawn to a dance floor that never emptied, this celebration was the heart of a three-day weekend none of us will ever forget. Planned and executed seamlessly by Corinne of Canvas Weddings.

A Tuscan Dream in the Hudson Valley

From the very beginning, Isabella and Christopher knew how they wanted their wedding day to feel. Tuscany - but here in New York. August sunshine. An outdoor ceremony overlooking Glenmere Lake. A beloved priest officiating beneath open skies.

Glenmere Mansion, with its European architecture, formal gardens, and quiet water views, offers that rare ability to transport you somewhere else entirely. It feels like a destination wedding without ever leaving the Hudson Valley.

With guest lists capped at 200 (a challenge when both families are large and deeply connected), they curated a celebration that felt intimate in energy, even while grand in scale.

Getting Ready at Glenmere Mansion

The morning unfolded in the way the best wedding mornings do - unhurried, joyful, and filled with anticipation.

Isabella got ready surrounded by her closest people in Glenmere’s spa. Her custom Sareh Nouri gown was timeless and sculptural, the kind of dress that doesn’t just photograph beautifully - it’s statuesque and timeless. She and her mother had fallen in love with A Little Something White Bridal in Darien, Connecticut, where she felt truly celebrated during the process.

Her custom veil completed the look, soft and dramatic in all the right ways.

Christopher wore a custom tux from A Little Something White as well - impeccably tailored, classic, and refined. Together, they embodied that effortless elegance they had envisioned from the start.

Isabella and Chris’s first look was full of happy tears. It was beautiful documenting this moment to start off their time together on their wedding day. We went right into their wedding portraits around the breathtaking property and gardens.

Their wedding party consisted of their closest friends and family. Although it was large, the group was very cooperative, fun, and ready for anything. Chris’s one request of the day with his groomsmen was to take a photo of them “running towards their beer”, and from there - hilarity ensued.

A Ceremony Overlooking the Lake

There is something especially sacred about a lakeview ceremony at Glenmere. The view stretches quietly behind you, the water reflecting light and sky, and the large tree on the lawn creating a canopy of shade for the couple and their guests.

As guests gathered outdoors, you could feel the anticipation. The ceremony was heartfelt and reverent, officiated by a priest Isabella described as “adorable,” which felt entirely fitting. The August air was warm but gentle, and everything felt calm and intentional.

When Isabella walked down the aisle, the emotion was palpable - not just between her and Christopher, but radiating outward to every guest who had traveled to celebrate them.

This Glenmere Mansion wedding ceremony felt exactly as they had hoped: romantic, European-inspired, and deeply meaningful.

As their ceremony processional began, the sunlight grew into this ethereal glow. It helped portray the magic of the moment.

Following their ceremony, guests enjoyed their walk through the grounds to get to the elegant cocktail hour in the formal gardens. They enjoyed food, cocktails, and lawn games like croquet.

As the sun began to set beyond the horizon, we took Isabella + Chris out for some additional golden hour portraits - always one of my favorite moments of a wedding day. When they can relax, take a breath, and exist together as husband and wife.

The Barn in the Meadow at Glenmere Mansion is a beautifully abundant space to celebrate. Florals by Athabold helped warm the space with timeless warm summer colors.

Dinner, Dancing, and the Energy of Celebration

If there was a single defining element of the evening, it was the music. The Marcus Reid Band kept the dance floor alive from the first song to the final note.

There was no awkward lull. No hesitant dancing. Just movement, laughter, and pure celebration.

Isabella and Christopher shared that one of their favorite memories was simply feeling the love from every corner of the room. And that feeling was undeniable. It was woven into the toasts, the embraces, the way guests lingered at tables and then returned to the dance floor again and again.

This Glenmere Mansion wedding didn’t just look beautiful - it felt alive.

The Art of the Outfit Change

Isabella knew from the start that she wanted a second dress. She worked closely with Sophia Sierra Bridal in Fishkill, New York to design a custom gold gown for the reception. After months of sourcing fabrics from Spain and refining the design, the final dress was luminous and unforgettable.

When she changed into it for the reception, it felt like the natural evolution of the evening - moving from ceremony to celebration, from elegance to joy.

It was one of my favorite visual transitions of the day. Isabella felt more free and comfortable to celebrate in the flowing and lightweight design.

The Magic Makers Behind the Scenes

A wedding weekend of this scale doesn’t happen without intention and support. Isabella and Christopher entrusted Corinne of Canvas Weddings to guide the planning process, and it showed in every detail.

From logistics to vendor coordination, everything unfolded seamlessly. The team they assembled - their “magic makers,” as they lovingly called them - created an experience that felt fluid and immersive rather than overwhelming.

As a Hudson Valley wedding photographer, working alongside a planner who values organization and calm energy (and GREAT taste) makes an enormous difference. It allows the day to breathe.

Along with digital photographs, I documented Isabella + Chris’s wedding with black and white film. It felt like the perfect addition to their wedding photography coverage, using a medium as timeless as Glenmere Mansion feels.

The Gift of Time

One of the most powerful things about their wedding was that it unfolded across three days. A welcome party. The wedding. Time spent together in the in-between.

When I asked for their advice to other couples planning their weddings, they said simply:

“Take your time. Enjoy the little moments. The weekend flies by.”

They’re right.

As a wedding photographer, I see how quickly the hours move. But when you build in space - when you create a wedding weekend rather than a single event - you give yourself room to actually experience it.

Why They Chose Me

Isabella and Christopher found me through Corinne. I was the first photographer they interviewed - and they never looked back.

They described me as someone who combines captivating artistry with seamless professionalism. That balance is something I care deeply about. I want my couples to feel inspired by their images, yes - but I also want them to feel taken care of.

A wedding day is emotional, layered, and fast-moving. My role is to bring steadiness to it all.
