Best Wedding Venues of the Hudson Valley - According to a Wedding Photographer

As a Hudson Valley wedding photographer, I’m often asked which venues truly stand out - not just visually, but experientially. This guide to the Best Wedding Venues of the Hudson Valley According to a Wedding Photographer features my favorite venues in the region that feel the most well-designed and intentional for weddings. I feel these venues don’t just host weddings - they shape them. These are spaces that thoughtfully support both the couple and their guests, making the entire experience feel seamless rather than stressful.

What they all share is more than beauty. They offer on-site accommodations or nearby lodging, dedicated getting-ready spaces, ceremony and reception locations that work in any weather, and layouts that allow your day to flow naturally. They’re also wonderfully customizable - giving couples the freedom to shape their aesthetic, design, and timeline without fighting the space. From a photographer’s perspective, these venues make it easier for couples to be fully present, and for their story to unfold organically.

These venues (listed in no particular order) offer accommodations, ceremony sites, and beautifully designed event spaces, while each carrying a distinct feeling that deeply impacts how a wedding day unfolds.

The Roundhouse - Beacon, NY

Industrial elegance beside a waterfall - a boutique hotel, restaurant, lounge, and event space in an art-forward and walkable small city.

The Roundhouse is one of the most versatile and visually dynamic venues in the Hudson Valley. Set along Fishkill Creek with a dramatic waterfall, it blends exposed brick, modern design, and floor-to-ceiling windows with the softness of moving water and mountain air. I hold a super special place in my heart for The Roundhouse because I grew up 2 blocks from the venue, and regularly skipped rocks with my father at Beacon Falls.

Why couples love it:

  • On site restaurant and catering with an experienced team of event planners.

  • Guest count flexibility: Works beautifully for intimate weddings in The Lounge, and celebrations up to ~200 guests in the Waterfall Room.

  • Multiple event spaces: Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception can all flow seamlessly indoors or out. Weddings are chic in every season at The Roundhouse.

  • On-site boutique hotel: Getting ready and guest accommodations are built right in (think penthouses with open-air bathtubs and balconies with a view of the falls).

  • Overall vibe: Industrial, romantic, modern, and timeless - a true blank canvas for design.
